The Northgate Boys Water Polo team enjoyed a highly successful 2025 season featuring an exceptionally deep team inspired by the veteran leadership of our seniors, including All-DAL selections Oliver Knoflick and Zane Belanger. We opened with a 3-1 record at our season opening tournament against some of the top ranked teams in California, despite our All-DAL goalie Riley Parker losing two teeth during the tournament, to successful tournaments throughout California, and our season ending one goal loss in the semifinals of the NCS Division 1 tournament, the team showed heart, grit and dedication.
Hardened competitors in the pool, the team’s strength was the players’ dedication to each other and to the team vision. Weekly team breakfasts and dinners, out of pool team building events,
open ocean training, alumni games, and the exciting game of Balls all served to create memories and lasting friendships, which is really the goal of the Northgate Water Polo program.
